At HeadEase, we believe your health data is deeply personal. That's why we've designed our app with privacy as a core principle. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

Our Privacy Promise

Your headache data stays on your device. We don't collect, store, or have access to your personal headache logs, symptoms, triggers, or any health-related information you enter into the app.

Data Storage

All your headache logs and personal data are stored locally on your device using iOS's secure storage mechanisms. This means:

  • Your data never leaves your device
  • We cannot access your headache history
  • Your information is protected by your device's security features
  • If you delete the app, your data is permanently removed

Weather Data

HeadEase uses your location to fetch weather and barometric pressure data to help identify weather-related triggers. Here's how this works:

  • Location is only accessed when you grant permission
  • We use the Open-Meteo API to fetch weather data
  • Your location is not stored or transmitted to our servers
  • Weather data is fetched directly from the weather service

Subscription & Payments

If you choose to subscribe to HeadEase Premium:

  • All payments are processed securely through Apple's App Store
  • We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions
  • We do not have access to your payment information
  • RevenueCat receives an anonymous user identifier to manage your subscription status

Analytics

We may collect anonymous, aggregated analytics to improve the app experience. This includes:

  • App crashes and performance data
  • General usage patterns (which features are used most)
  • Device type and iOS version

This data is completely anonymous and cannot be linked to your personal information or headache logs.

Data Export

You can export your headache data at any time as a PDF or CSV file. This export is generated locally on your device and can be shared with your healthcare provider or saved for your records.

Third-Party Services

HeadEase uses the following third-party services:

  • Open-Meteo: Weather data provider (no API key required, no personal data shared)
  • RevenueCat: Subscription management (anonymous user ID only)
  • Apple App Store: Payment processing

Children's Privacy

HeadEase is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
